In My Shoes Installation Support Session
Thursday 29th February 2024
In My Shoes Online Training Course – Session 1
Today we covered a bit of the background to IMS and showed you how to use the first four modules of the program. The trainers were David Glasgow and Phil Jimmieson.
In My Shoes Online Training Course – Session 2
Today in our 2nd of 4 sessions, we heard some feedback from people who had tried out IMS since last time we met. We then looked at some video clips of IMS being used to interview children and vulnerable adults. Finally, we looked at how to use the middle section modules of the program. The trainers were David Glasgow and Phil Jimmieson.
In My Shoes Online Training Course – Session 3
Today in our 3rd of 4 sessions, we discussed some feedback on the use of IMS (this was not recorded due to confidentiality issues). We looked at some video clips of IMS being used (in particular, some of the later modules and with a teenage boy with Aspergers). We walked through the remaining two modules - Somatic Experiences and Experiences, and saw how the latter could be used very flexibly e.g. where there are contact issues. The trainers were David Glasgow and Phil Jimmieson.
In My Shoes Online Training Course – Session 4
In the final session today, Phil demonstrated some of the special extra features / adjustments that can be made to IMS in order to make it work better for a specific interviewee (including e.g. changing the guide for an interview). We also quickly looked at using the drawing and footnote feature. David presented his Interview Planning Profile document and Interview Plan. We also looked at how to create materials from a session record, that can then be used to create a report (finding a couple of bugs as we went along). David Glasgow and Phil Jimmieson were the trainers.
